Bold and the Beautiful has Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) showing a different side of her these days. Then the soap brought in a demanding Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) who laid it all out about Poppy for her niece. Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) endured her aunt bashing her mother as a gold digger.
The soap threw Li in for a reason. It just so happens Poppy changed her tune about revealing the name of the man who fathered her daughter. But she did this only after being reassured that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) welcomed this. She said she lied to him about it before, fearing losing him.
But after Bill Spencer’s heartfelt words about possibly being Luna’s father, she sees the coast is clear. Poppy now knows that Bill will not only stick around if he’s Luna’s dad, but he embraces the thought of being her father.
Then, red flags fly for Bold and the Beautiful fans when Poppy picks up an at-home paternity testing kit. But just as they are about to start the mouth swabbing, her big sister bursts in.

If Poppy Nozawa wants to make sure Bill Spencer believes he’s Luna’s dad, whether he is or not, she has a way to do this. Perhaps she already knows the identity of Luna’s dad, and maybe it’s not Bill.
But she could already have a swab ready from the man she believes fathered her daughter. She could have stopped by and asked him for a bit of his DNA with plans to switch them. Yes, this sounds odd… but wait. When Bold and the Beautiful rolls out next week, this paternity test likely doesn’t go off without a hitch.
So, the older sister busts in and acts as if she’s aware of Poppy, Bill, and Luna doing a paternity test. So, she’ll have her say. She may even be angry enough to blurt out her suspicions about who Luna’s dad is, and she might tell Bill he’s not the one.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Bill’s Paternity Test Not Tamper-Proof?
There doesn’t seem to be much doubt from Poppy Nozawa that Bill Spencer is her daughter’s father. But Bold and the Beautiful promises a twist, and Li’s angry appearance may deliver that twist.
A few months back, viewers learned that Poppy Nozawa moved in with Li and her little family of three. This was before she became pregnant. But then Li sent her packing. The timeline would fall into place for Poppy’s pregnancy.
So, Li may swallow her pride and blurt out that Luna’s father is her ex-husband, Jack Finnegan (Ted King). Well, if this is the case, it would explain this big sister’s hatred for her little sister. Still, if Li makes this grand accusation about Luna’s DNA donor, it’s likely Poppy Nozawa will accuse her of lying.
Then, possibly to prove her point, Li insists on taking possession of the DNA test and bringing it to the lab. But during Li’s commotion, if Poppy had that swab switched and ready to go, the deed would be done. Both sisters could then sit back, assuring themselves of the outcome. But they would both be wrong.
B&B Spoilers: Poppy & Bill Face Confusion Next Week
Jack Finnegan is a lawyer in LA, and he knew he fathered a son with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), but he kept that quiet for decades. So, he may know of another child he fathered, Luna. This means if Poppy Nozawa goes to him with a request for a bit of DNA on a swab, it’s likely he’d oblige.
So, while this is a far-fetched storyline for Bold and the Beautiful, it is one way for Poppy to reel in Bill and give her daughter a father who wants her. If Jack were her father, he probably would take the same path that he did with Sheila, keep his paternity under wraps.
He certainly wouldn’t want Li to know he strayed with her sister. But not too much gets by her, so she likely knew but said nothing. Again, this would explain the hatred she has for her little sister. So, while this is one role Li could play in the paternity storyline, there’s also another.
This other possibility suggests that Li could be the one to tamper with the test, one that names Bill Spencer as the dad. But this big sister is dead against Poppy reeling in Bill. Working at the hospital, she’d have the chance to go into the lab and mark the test “not a match”. So, this paternity test sounds anything but foolproof with these two sisters around.
