The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Friday, May 31 – Katie Suspicious of Poppy’s Sudden Confession – Brooke & Steffy Face Off
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, May 31, reveals that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) convinced Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) that she’d been sitting on the sidelines too long at Forrester Creations and needed to take back her power.
Brooke agreed to confront Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) with Hope and hoped to shut down Steffy’s latest vendetta.
Meanwhile, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) found Steffy in the middle of a conversation with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about shutting down Hope for the Future, so he questioned if this decision was strictly about business.
Steffy made it clear that she’d be on board with funding the line if it was successful, but it wasn’t – and she didn’t think that would change without Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) around.
At Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) place, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) wondered why Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) was only just now coming clean about the possibility that Bill was Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) father.
Bill defended Poppy and said there’d be a place for her in his life along with Luna if the paternity test proved what he hoped. Liam seemed rather overwhelmed by Bill’s news, but Bill hoped that his son was excited like him.
In the design office at Forrester Creations, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) entered and overheard that Bill could be Luna’s bio dad after all. Although RJ was stunned over Poppy’s admission, he was happy for Luna if she was finally getting answers about her father.
Later, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) arrived and got updates from RJ on Luna potentially being Bill’s daughter. That info left Katie suspicious since Poppy was confessing after all this time.
Katie hoped Bill was smart enough to seek confirmation, but RJ pointed out that Will Spencer (last played by Finnegan George) could have a new sister if this turned out to be true.
Once Poppy and Luna arrived at Bill’s place, Bill said he’d love to be Luna’s dad. Luna got emotional over her father being a man who’d been nothing but good and kind to her, so she also hoped for proof.
Poppy revealed an at-home paternity test that she’d picked up on the way to see Luna, so Bill was good with that since it was faster and meant no public spectacle at the hospital.
Bill insisted these tests were very reliable and thought Luna deserved to know the truth – and Luna agreed the sooner, the better! After Luna admitted she was praying this test proved Bill was her father, they shared a warm embrace.
Back at Forrester Creations on Friday’s B&B episode, Brooke and Hope came barging in the CEO office, where Brooke ranted about Steffy’s vendetta and her threat to end Hope for the Future.
Carter backed Steffy up about this being a business decision, but Brooke argued that Steffy was determined to take every bit of happiness away from Hope.
As Ridge faced pressure to chime in, Steffy argued that Brooke only cared about Hope’s own personal needs. That wasn’t how things worked at Forrester Creations, so Steffy declared that Hope for the Future needed to end today!
