The Bold and the Beautiful Wednesday, May 29 Recap: Thomas Loss Sinks Hope for the Future – Katie Doesn’t Trust Poppy

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 29, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) summoned Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to discuss Hope for the Future since it hadn’t been the same since Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) left.

Hope pointed out that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) convinced Thomas to leave town, but Steffy insisted Hope was the real reason why.

Regardless, Steffy suggested Hope’s line no longer had her support, so Hope said enough was enough and added that she wasn’t going to let Steffy mess with her life anymore.

Steffy asked why Hope was making this personal when it was a business decision, but Hope argued that she wouldn’t back down and disappoint her team.

However, Steffy wasn’t at all confident that Hope’s line could move past their latest rough patch.

As far as Steffy was concerned, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) and RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) would be working on far more lucrative projects.

Steffy just didn’t see Hope for the Future as one of her visions for the company anymore, but Hope argued they needed time to prove themselves during this transition.

Unfortunately, Steffy thought Hope’s time was up and said she was thinking about cutting Hope for the Future, so that news infuriated Hope.

At Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) place, he assured Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) that he wasn’t upset about her new revelation that he could be Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) father, but he was confused since she previously shut down the idea.

Poppy admitted she was afraid and didn’t want Bill to view her like all the other gold-digger women who’d come out of the woodwork to claim he fathered their children.

Nevertheless, Poppy ultimately talked about truly falling for Bill and how amazing it had been reconnecting with him after all these years.

If there was even the slightest chance that Luna could be Bill’s daughter, he insisted they both needed to know.

Bill made it clear that if he was Luna’s father, he’d stand her along with Poppy.

After Poppy hugged Bill and called him a wonderful man, he said they knew what they needed to do. Bill insisted they should find out if Luna was his daughter now and seemed ready to get a DNA test.

Meanwhile, Luna once again talked to RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) about how she wished Bill was her dad sometimes, especially now that they’d gotten closer.

Bill was exactly the kind of man that Luna would want as a father, but she knew he wasn’t and seemed disappointed about that as she embraced RJ.

At the Forrester mansion, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) caught up with Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), so they both urged her to get more involved at Forrester Creations.

Brooke did miss having an active role at the company, but she wasn’t sure how Steffy would feel about her taking on a bigger presence there.

When Katie Logan (Heather Tom) showed up, she told Brooke, Donna and Eric about meeting Bill’s new woman.

Katie explained that it was Luna’s mother and reflected on how Bill reconnected with Poppy after their night together over 20 years ago.

As for whether Bill would bond with Poppy’s daughter, Eric acted like Bill was too full of himself to want to play any kind of role in Luna’s life.

Once Eric headed off to see his trainer, Katie and Donna also expressed doubts about Bill connecting with Luna.

With everything going on in Luna’s world, Brooke made a prediction about her not being interested in bonding with Bill either.

After Brooke shifted gears, she asked how Katie felt about Bill seeing someone new.

Katie didn’t expect Bill to live like a monk, but she admitted she would’ve liked for him to give her a heads-up.

Although Katie would always love Bill – and not just because he’s Will Spencer’s (last played by Finnegan George) father – she didn’t know if she still saw her own future with him.

Once talk turned back to Luna’s mother on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Katie confessed that she wasn’t so sure about Poppy.
