Young & Restless Preview: A Truly Ironic Twist Sends [Spoiler] to Ashley’s Rescue in Paris

Ashley’s headed to Paris this week against the best wishes of Ms. Abbott and Belle, and what she faces there will have Young & Restless viewers ready to say, “Au revoir!”

Determined to uncover the source of the trauma she’s blocked out, Ashley ignored the warning of the alternate personalities in her mind and jumped on the Jabot jet to make the jaunt across the pond.

As Young & Restless viewers know, Traci and Jack were able to pinpoint the timing of Ashley’s mental health breakdown to after her sister left her in Paris following their visit to the cafe where she and Tucker had their infamous spat.

Something so incredibly traumatic happened to her during the aforementioned time period that her personality splintered as a means of “protecting” her. Despite his best efforts, Ashley’s brother Jack is no longer able to blame Tucker for the upsetting turn of events. It was revealed through many, many flashbacks (and some detective work on Traci’s part) that the couple’s argument had not turned violent as Ashley had convinced herself, and McCall had, in fact, left Paris and returned to Genoa City by the time his wife’s trauma occurred.

Now, by great chance (or design by the Young & Restless writers), Ashley is headed back to Paris to face this unknown nightmare fuel at the very same time that Tucker is headed there to deal with his ex-girlfriend’s attempt to mess with his company, Glissade.

We know a set-up when we see one, and we’re sure you do too!

We’re convinced Ashley is on a collision course with a twist so dark it will make one’s hair stand on end… and that the person who will come to her rescue will be none other than Tucker. It simply cannot be a coincidence that the writers have sent him overseas at the same time as his lady love is about to look terror in the face and could land in grave danger.

Of course, it could be Ashley’s rival, Audra, who saves the day in Paris. That would be almost as ironic as Tucker being her savior after being accused of causing her trauma in the first place. But Audra swooping wouldn’t have the same effect at all. No, it’s the soapy romance of Tucker playing knight in shining armor to his true love that would provide the payoff here. That, and Jack having to thank him after all of the relentless trash-talking he’s done. We can’t wait!
