Days After General Hospital’s Unforgettable Wedding, Rena Sofer Remarries the Love of Her Life… Again!

From the mother of the bride to the bride herself, we wouldn’t blame General Hospital‘s Rena Sofer (Lois) if she was wedding’d out. But not everyone is lucky enough to find the love of their lives one time, let alone a second (or a third!), so clearly the actress has a whole lot of love to share! Sofer, you see, just remarried “my best friend, Sanford Bookstaver, once again!”
And “again” was a recurring theme for Sofer as she joyfully shared the news of her re-marriage over on Instagram. The couple first married back in 2003, had a daughter together and spent over a decade by each other’s side before divorcing in 2017. The divorce, though, was not meant to be, and Sofer and Bookstaver found their way back into each others arms just two years later. When he proposed a second time in 2019, Sofer happily said yes!
And now, “on what would have been our 21st wedding anniversary,” Sofer wrote on Instagram, the two tied the knot once more. “The journey we are about to begin is the most exciting adventure, in a new state and town, but most thrilling is that we get to do it together as husband and wife! The three years we spent apart were humbling and heartbreaking but vital to us finding each other again. The love I have for you now is the foundation of my life. I can’t imagine another moment not walking through life with you hand in hand and our hearts entwined.”

As the happy bride put it, “You are the love of my life, and it’s not ‘Oops, we did it again,’ but I’m so grateful we did it again!”
Among the love shared with the happy couple was a message from Sofer’s former The Bold and the Beautiful beau, Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) who flooded the comments with hearts. Heck, we can’t blame him because it’s hard not to feel our hearts bursting with love after this news. Congratulations to the happy couple who’ve proved that if it’s meant to be, nothing will keep two people in love apart!
