Young & Restless Preview: [Spoiler]’s Targeted for Deadly Revenge — and Survival Hinges On a *Huge* Plot Twist

Young & Restless is featuring more than one revenge plot these days, but one character will be targeted for death. It’s all going to come to a head this week as they look the grim reaper in the face and see a very familiar smile… one that will leave them wondering if there’s any hope of survival.

Tucker McCall’s long been untouchable as the wealthy playboy of the music industry and a sly corporate raider, but his life’s been a little less charmed since moving back to Genoa City, and his exploits truly catch up with him when he finds himself in a life or death situation this week.

Cocky McCall may not even realize he’s in jeopardy at first, but once he clues in, he’s quickly going to do the math and understand that he’s in a position of peril so deadly that only a huge plot twist will save him.

As Young & Restless fans are well aware, Ashley’s most domineering alternate personality, Ms. Abbott, is out to get her ex-husband in a big way. While the other alters have battled her relentlessly, the last we saw she had managed to take control again. That’s not good news for anyone, least of all Tucker, who she wants to eliminate.

Ms. Abbott believes she’s “protecting” Ashley and that the only way to truly accomplish her mission is to rid her host of Tucker once and for all. Permanently. Dead dead.

As we saw in the preview, having alienated his girlfriend Audra, Tucker agrees to meet up with Ashley despite his claims to have washed his hands of her… only we know that it’s Ms. Abbott who is in control. She’ll get him alone in the jazz lounge after hours and will have only one thing on her mind… murder.

Yep, ol’ Tucker is about to look death in the face and its smile will be that of his ex-wife. Unfortunately for him, his odds of survival hinge on a perfect storm of unlikely events occurring.

First, he has to figure out that he’s dealing with an alternate personality and not the real Ashley. Second, he has to realize that she intends to kill him, otherwise, she could poison his drink and he’d be none the wiser until it’s too late. We’re guessing she’ll incapacitate him somehow and then explain what she’s doing and why… because soap opera.

At this point, call him Debbie Desperate, because the only chance he’ll have of saving himself will be to summon the one person who will be able to intervene and get him help… and she just happens to be someone who loathes him. And someone who is currently unavailable. Yes, you guessed it, it’s Ashley.

McCall’s very survival will depend on his ability to recognize the situation for what it is, and to get the real Ashley Abbott to stand up, as it were, take control back from her dangerous alter, and save his life. A huge plot twist indeed given the circumstances and history.

Of course, we all know that deep down, Ashley still loves Tucker, and he loves her. Will that prove to be his saving grace? Are we about to see a new chapter of “Tashley’s” love story unfold out of a near-tragedy?

We suppose that depends on how far this murder plot goes. There’s always the chance that the devious alter will be successful, and there’s also a scenario where Tucker ends up in Memorial fighting for his life while Ms. Abbott either frames Audra for the attempted murder or ends up in handcuffs herself.
