Everything You Need to Know About the New Real-Life Love of General Hospital’s Steve Burton

If you’re a fan of General Hospital star Steve Burton (Jason), then you likely heard the news that broke on May 15, when the ABC soap actor confirmed that he is currently in a relationship. Not only did he reveal that he has a new woman in his life, but photos surfaced of them together and looking, well, happy as can be. Burton also took to his podcast with castmate Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) to share his feelings for his girlfriend and expressed, “She’s an amazing woman… amazing.”
So, who is the special lady who has caught the Emmy winner’s eye? She’s Michelle Lundstrom. Though she may not be familiar to daytime fans, those who watched Netflix’s reality series BBQ Showdown may recall her as a contestant during Season 2.
It was in April 2023 when Lundstrom took to her official Instagram page to talk about her time on the series. “Barbecue Showdown! Finally, I can shout it from the rooftop,” she cheered. “This experience was one that changed me forever. I cannot wait for you to see it unfold! The most amazing contestants, judges and host evaaaaaa!”
The season premiered on May 26, 2023, and consisted of eight episodes. Though Thyron Mathews, owner of T&T BBQ & Catering in Oelwein, Iowa, won Season 2 and the $50,000 prize, Lundstrom went toe to toe with the other seven contestants as they cooked up some of the most “blazing hot BBQ” around.

And it appears, like Burton, she enjoys working out, too, as you can see from her “recharged post-workout selfie” last month. On that one, Lundstrom shared, “It’s hard sometimes to turn off creative mode and take a break. But, here I am. Spring break and it feels so good…”
