Countdown Begins for the Return of Bold & Beautiful’s Matthew Atkinson as Thomas

He’ll always have Paris. But it would appear that Bold & Beautiful globetrotter Thomas Forrester is not gone for good and will soon be winging his way back to Los Angeles.

Not only did portrayer Matthew Atkinson recently share a glimpse of a scene in an Insta-story, but SoapHub reports that he’ll be back on screen himself in mid-June. His return can’t come fast enough, considering that even in Thomas’ absence, the daytime drama managed to find a way to dis the character!

You’ll recall that Ridge and Taylor’s son took off for overseas in late March rather than continue to enjoy his sexy, stable relationship with onetime object of his obsession Hope. In Thomas’ eyes, without an engagement ring on her finger — and immediately — they had no future. (We had a different take on the subject and, in fact, so did the expert we called in.)

Thus far, Hope has remained single and unattached. But with Thomas returning to the canvas, viewers can expect to see a deepening of her connection with brother-in-law Finn. Aside from homeless guy Tom, they are, after all, the only two people who would even consider attending the nuptials of Hope’s father Deacon and Finn’s murderous Biological Mother™ Sheila. (Whether the couple actually says “I do” remains a question mark.)

The smart money is on Finn foolishly standing by Mommie Dearest, prompting wife Steffy to dump him. In consoling her friend, Hope is likely to realize that she is drawn to him… just in time for her old flame to come home eager to reheat their romance.
