The Young and the Restless Monday, May 20 Recap: Tucker Catches Audra & Nate’s Night Together, Claire Rejects Kyle’s Offer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 20, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will lock in a deal with someone named Jasper Foley over the phone and insist that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will understand.

When Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) stops by the Abbott mansion at Kyle’s request, he’ll officially offer her the nanny position.

Claire will happily accept before realizing Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) isn’t on board, so she’ll back out of taking the job and refuse to go against Summer’s wishes.

After Kyle insists he’ll work on Summer, he’ll urge Claire to reconsider since Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) really needs her support right now.

When Claire shows up at Summer’s suite, she’ll admit she turned down the nanny job and will want a chance to explain why.

Summer will decide she needs a drink if they’re going to have this conversation, so they’ll head down to the jazz lounge.

That’ll give Claire an opportunity talk about how she couldn’t accept the nanny position if Summer wasn’t comfortable.

Claire will confess how much she cares about Harrison and will try to change Summer’s mind, but Summer will still consider her a threat.

Meanwhile, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will pump Diane for info on Billy during an encounter at the bar.

When Tucker asks if Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) might return to Jabot, Diane will grow suspicious of whatever drama is going on at Chancellor-Winters.

Although Diane will plan on meeting Mr. Foley about a business deal, she’ll eventually get a phone call and realize Kyle made the deal behind her back.

That’ll lead to Diane confronting Kyle about his constant attempts to humiliate and undermine her.

Kyle will act like Diane is making a big deal out of nothing and will suggest that Foley didn’t trust that she could handle negotiations.

Although Kyle will play up Diane’s inexperienced reputation in the corporate world, she’ll fire back at him and make it clear that this has to stop.

Diane will warn Kyle not to finalize the Foley deal and add that it’s a direct order from his superior.

Once Kyle’s alone, he’ll smugly make a call to have the paperwork drawn up first thing in the morning and will call it a done deal.

At Chancellor-Winters, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will give Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) updates on his dinner with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), but he’ll explain that it’s just a friendly one.

A little later, Devon and Lily will fume over the flower arrangement and balloon that Billy had delivered.

The card will involve Billy gloating over their failed plan, so Devon will pop the balloon and rant about his immaturity.

Devon will admit to Lily that he turned to Tucker for help, but he’ll act like he quickly realized that was a mistake.

Now Devon will think they have two options: they can find a way to force Billy out or they can work on undoing the merger.

Lily will come clean about Billy trying to force Devon into a secondary role before pitching a new scheme.

The plan will be for Lily to claim she’s changed her mind and that she’s willing to team up with Billy – but only if they let the Winters side of the company go.

Lily will think Billy and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will cave out of their desire to keep her around, but she’ll actually plan to jump ship in the end and join Devon along with Nate at their real family business.

At the GCAC, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will find Audra looking glamorous, so she’ll assume Audra patched things up with Tucker and that they’re going to enjoy a night on the town.

Audra will admit she’s got plans for dinner with Nate instead, so Sally will seem uneasy over the news.

Once Audra meets Nate at Society, they’ll ditch all the business stuff and discuss some more personal topics – like the dance competitions Audra participated in when she was younger.

After Tucker spots Audra and Nate chatting at their table, he’ll interrupt and push Audra to go somewhere to talk.

Audra will insist she’s said all she needed to say and will convince Nate to join her for a drink elsewhere.

Once they make it back to the GCAC, Audra will ask Nate up to her room for a nightcap.

When Audra offers a glass of Tucker’s scotch, Nate will accept it – though he’ll acknowledge that Tucker wouldn’t like him being in her suite and drinking his stash.

However, Audra won’t care on Monday’s Y&R episode and will continue enjoying her night with Nate.

Back with Tucker, he’ll run into Sally and quiz her about whether he’s blown it with Audra.

Sally will think there’s still hope, but she’ll warn that Tucker needs to get his act together.

Once Tucker knocks on the door of Audra’s suite, she’ll push Nate to open up for her.

Tucker won’t be happy about Nate’s presence and will once again try to talk things out with Audra.

Nate will think Audra’s made her position crystal clear when it comes to Tucker and will act like he needs to walk away with his dignity.

After Nate slams the door in Tucker’s face, he’ll leave Tucker looking frustrated.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker and Audra’s relationship will remain messy, so stick with us for more predictions on all the chaos ahead.
