General Hospital Recap: Thursday, May 16 – Finn’s Booze Blunder – Jason Quartermaine Questions – Sam’s Job for Spinelli
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 16, reveals that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) joined Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) in the pulpit to assure him that she could take over – or they could just wait for his episode to pass since everyone understood.
Gregory continued seizing up and struggling to speak, but he was eventually able to resume his officiant duties.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) took the lead on their sweet vows before Gregory pronounced them husband and wife.
After the newlyweds shared a kiss, everyone gathered to throw birdseed as Brook Lynn and Chase headed off to the reception.
Tracy offered Gregory a quiet spot to take a break after the ceremony, so he thanked her once he got updates on where he could go.
Although Gregory and Tracy considered how different things might’ve been if they’d met each other much earlier in life, they couldn’t have regrets since Chase and Brook Lynn had joined their families so beautifully.
Once the reception got underway, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) crossed paths with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and got a cold response.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) also caught a glimpse of Drew and Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) “vibe,” but Jordan downplayed it during their chat in the restroom.
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) talked to Blaze aka Allison Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) about her plan to win over Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), but Blaze made it clear that her own opinion was the only one that mattered.
Although Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) had a brief false eyelash emergency, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) came to her rescue so that Gloria could get back to dancing.
Chase and Brook Lynn eventually made some pics with the wedding party before making their grand entrance at the reception.
Next on Thursday’s GH episode, Carmine Cerullo (George Russo) showed Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) the rash on his leg since he knew Finn was a doctor, so Finn gave him a dermatologist recommendation.
Although Carmine handed over a glass of Champagne, Finn discreetly put it aside.
However, Finn messed up later by accepting another glass and downing some of it without thinking.
Due to his history of addiction, the blunder left Finn looking unsettled in the aftermath of Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) musical performance with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
As for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he was thrilled to reunite with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
It was revealed that Uncle Sonny paid for Gio’s first two years of college and had been instrumental in his success as a concert violinist.
After Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hinted to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that he didn’t even notice the bride because of Maxie’s beauty, she admitted she loved him and got a kiss in response.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) also approached Spinelli and pushed for some help from “The Jackal,” so Spinelli was stunned over the news that she wanted to investigate the FBI.
Back with Jason, he spoke to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) to ask for her thoughts on how Jake Webber (Hudson West) would feel about going out on the lake with him – either to fish or on a speedboat.
Jason also faced Gloria’s questions about whether he’d become a doctor since she remembered him as Jason Quartermaine.
There was some awkwardness once Gloria shifted her attention to Sonny, her “honorary son.” Sonny glared at a nearby Jason while accepting Gloria’s warm embrace.
