General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s Horrible Scandal Brewing – Nina Ruins Political Run?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show is positioning Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for a career change, which isn’t too surprising since that’s all the new GH writing team seems to know how to do!
There have certainly been plenty of characters ditching their jobs in favor of new ones lately, so Drew may be next in line now that Congressman McConkey (Sam McMurray) wants him to fill his seat.
McConkey thinks Drew can be a comeback “cowboy hero” that people root for, so he’s not worried about Drew’s criminal conviction or the time he spent at Pentonville.
Drew was even advised to change his name to Quartermaine, which could give him more recognition and help him secure this spot.
Now that the show’s seemingly taking Drew in this direction, we have to consider what drama that might lead to. It’s possible Drew will be a huge success, but it’s also possible his political run will end in catastrophe.
Drew may crash and burn due to some scandal that erupts somewhere down the line. Could Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) end up being the reason why?
Drew and Nina have been having a fling behind closed doors, so it’ll be interesting to see what that’s building to.
If Nina and Drew’s sizzling connection leaks and becomes tabloid fodder, someone might spin that in a terrible direction.
It’s easy to see headlines that make it seem like Drew’s awful for sleeping with the woman who sent him to prison and kept him away from Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).
Nina nearly got Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) locked up as well thanks to her SEC tip, so the fact that Carly is Drew’s ex could also become part of the story.
It might look like Drew dumped Carly to get together with her nemesis, so that could turn the public against him.
This could even blow back on Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) since Nina is her bio mom and Drew’s been so involved in Willow’s nonprofit spokesperson gig.
What if Willow has to step down from that role because she’s inadvertently linked to this whole scandal?
Of course, it’s also possible Nina will turn against Drew at some point and willingly sabotage his political ambitions.
Whatever the case, Nina and Drew’s strange bond has always felt like a recipe for disaster, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the chaos.
