Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Bobby’s Mother the Key to Everett’s Creation – Childhood Trauma & ‘Just Be Nice’ Mantra Explained

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Everett Lynch aka Bobby Stein’s (Blake Berris) first therapy session with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) proved to be quite revealing and offered some great hints about his backstory.

In DOOL’s March 6 episode, Everett opened up about his kind mother, who loved to bake and once made him a Formula One racecar cake.

Everett insisted that his mom’s mantra was “just be nice,” but he admitted he hadn’t thought about her in a long time.

As for Everett’s father, he struggled to remember anything at all about him.

Everett wondered why he would completely obliterate his dad from his mind, but he guessed it was probably due to the brain injury and got Marlena to back him up on that.

Of course, we should point out this doesn’t quite line up with Everett’s story in the January 29 show.

In that Days episode, Everett talked to Stephanie about losing his mom as a kid and recalled that his father drank heavily.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Everett was lying to Marlena.

There are honestly major continuity issues on Days right now – and that may be a problem in particular for Everett’s storyline, which insiders claim has been heavily overhauled by the scab writers.

Regardless, we need to take all these hints into account as we mull over Everett and how he came to be.

Everett’s records indicate that he was born Robert Everett Stein and that his mother’s maiden name was Lynch.

Based on Everett’s loving memories of his mother and the fact that he took her surname, he obviously cared for her and wanted to honor her on some level with what appears to be an alternate personality.

Dissociative identity disorder is often the result of childhood trauma, so the loss of Everett’s mother may be a factor here.

It’s easy to imagine Bobby’s drunk dad being abusive and perhaps causing his wife’s demise. Little Bobby might’ve witnessed it and blocked it out.

However, the more likely option might be that Bobby was a bit of a bad seed – or at least his father made him feel like that.

What if Bobby fought back against his father somehow and his poor mother got in the way?

Could Bobby have accidentally caused his mom’s grim fate when he was a child?

Bobby’s dad might’ve covered it up and continued to drink himself into oblivion.

As for Bobby, maybe he needed a coping strategy to deal with the guilt of what happened.

Bobby may have embraced his mother’s “just be nice” motto and created nice Everett as his new personality – leaving the cruel Bobby that Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) remembers to do all the bad stuff.

Whatever the case, Days spoilers say Bobby’s mother may have played a huge role in why his mind invented Everett Lynch.

All that talk about baking and the Formula One racecar cake may have been a clue as well.

It might’ve been a clever play on words since Bobby was sort of the “formula one” or original recipe before Everett came along later.
