The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) rivalry is soaring to new heights now that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) has surrendered all her decision-making power to her son.

The fact that Jill did it without any warning was particularly infuriating to Devon, who would much rather kick Billy to the curb!

Devon wants to see Billy out of Chancellor-Winters altogether – not in a position that’ll make him more powerful.

Devon tends to be a pretty self-righteous character who goes around judging others and acting like it’s his way or the highway, so it’s made Billy seem like the underdog here.

At the same time, Billy honestly seems more concerned about his quest for power than about the company’s well-being.

This isn’t about what Billy can do for Chancellor-Winters; it’s about how Chancellor-Winters can make Billy feel important.

Furthermore, Billy has a horrible track record when it comes to sticking with anything for very long.

Although Billy’s all about Chancellor-Winters right now, how long will he truly stay committed?

Billy might end up leaving to find himself for the umpteenth time or starting a podcast again to get out of the corporate game.

Devon has no reason to trust Billy based on his past behavior, so that’s something else to keep in mind.

It’s clear that Billy and Devon have huge egos, so you may not be rooting for either one of them!

Y&R isn’t making it easy to pick a side since both Devon and Billy are insufferable most days.
