Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease when Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) finds Abigail DiMera’s (last played by Marci Miller) diary and gives it to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) it’ll change everything. Aside from having some evidence tying it to Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) murder, as Abigail was dying, she managed a last minute note to Chad.

Chad has tried a relationship with Abigail’s cousin Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) but found himself unable to move forward; even though his wife has been gone over a year.

Nicole brings the diary she found, just a notebook that Abigail was working on for an investigative report, an exposé to Chad at the Salem Spectator.

He’s with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) who has stopped by when she brings it, and starts to read it.

Chad, with a lonesome Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) who still doesn’t understand why Mommy had to go to heaven, had just visited her grave.

Chad will turn the notebook in since her notes may reveal some evidence tied to another murder besides her own but not before finding a final note-to him.

DOOL Spoilers: How Was Abigail Even Able To Write?

Somehow, the police had missed this notebook in the investigation into Abigail’s death-Chad remembers the horrific scene like yesterday-it haunts him.

She’d stayed at home to work on articles while he took the kids to a movie-when he returned, she was dead on the bed, a bloody mess!

Chad doesn’t understand how she was even coherent enough to write this note-but she did, he recognizes her handwriting, although it was shaky, and understandably so.

The coroner was unable to determine from her body how long it took her to die from her wounds, but from what she wrote, she knew she was dying.

Eric wonders if he will have to slip into his former priest role as Chad’s emotions show in his face while reading his late wife’s last note to him.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Abigail Wanted Chad To Find Happiness With Someone Else After She Died

Her final note to Chad reads she wanted him to find happiness with someone else after she died-and someone who would love their little ones as much as she did.

She hopes there is such a person that the children will love back, Abigail also expressed concern as to how her parents would handle her impending death.

Unfortunately, Abigail didn’t see who her assailant was or recognize him, other than she knew it was a man and he wore a ski mask-she didn’t write anything to indicate Clyde!

The investigation into her death will be reopened because there was the slightest bit of blood that made the slick outside of the notebook sticky.

But even though her murder investigation may no longer be a closed case, it does give Chad some closure that she’d want him to find love again!
