Bold & Beautiful‘s Finn has been grinning from ear to ear since finding out that his wife didn’t actually kill his mom — sorry, his biological mother. But he and Sheila might want to take a break from their hugfest to think about Steffy, who has been telling anyone who’ll listen how happy she’s been since (supposedly) plunging a knife into her monster-in-law’s heart.

This week, however, Finn will get a pretty harsh reality check when he tells Steffy about Sheila’s resurrection. The only question? Will his wife be more bothered by Sheila’s return or the fact that her husband kept her in the dark while working with Deacon to save the madwoman? “Great question,” nods Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. “Both of those scenarios are disturbing to Steffy. However, she’s been anxious about Finn and Deacon’s time together, so I’ll say Sheila being alive is the bigger shock!”

While Steffy didn’t actually kill Sheila, she certainly would have and felt no regrets in the aftermath, when she believed that to be the case. Although Sheila claims to understand what went down that night, should Steffy be worried about the older woman’s interpretation of events? In other words, Sheila can’t be terribly thrilled about the fact that Steffy practically celebrated her supposed demise!

“Honestly, Steffy gives no…  ” starts Wood, stopping herself before backtracking slightly to perhaps choose different words. “I mean, Steffy could not care less what Sheila thinks, feels or interprets!”

What truly pushes Steffy’s buttons, according to her portrayer, is Finn seeming to think they should roll out the welcome mat for Deacon’s bride-to-be. “Steffy is floored by Finn’s sentiments toward the woman who shot and left them both for dead!” declares MacInnes. “Why doesn’t he understand that Sheila is incapable of true remorse or love and is very dangerous?”

That said, people change. Surely at some point, Steffy might be able to look at Sheila and see in her what Finn and Deacon do. Is forgiveness possible? “Not in this lifetime,” insists MacInnes.
