Sheila Gives Deacon Her Answer to His Proposal — and Finn Meets Steffy at Home With ‘Amazing’ News

At Deacon’s place, Hope tells Finn she’s still waiting for the shock to wear off; she was not expecting to see Sheila there when she walked in. She can only imagine how he feels. Finn recaps that he’s been mourning her death for weeks and they now have a second chance to be in each other’s lives. Hope warns that Steffy despises Sheila and may not be understanding about his feelings. She thinks Finn needs to be realistic. Finn concedes that a lot has happened, but he doesn’t want to hate her or punish her. “I’m her son. We have a connection.” Hope asks how he thinks Steffy will react when he tells her Sheila’s alive.

At Forrester, Liam and Steffy share a laugh over Kelly pressuring her to buy toys. Liam says she gave him a giant fairy tattoo on his back with permanent marker. Steffy laughs and asks what she’d do without him. “Thank you… for taking my mind off of Sheila.” She knows she’s dead but she can’t stop the stream of thoughts in her head. Liam reminds her she can’t hurt her and doesn’t have power over her anymore. Steffy adds, “Or Finn.”

Outside Deacon’s place, he proposes to Sheila on bended knee. “Say you’ll marry me. Say you’ll be my wife.” He tells her he was skittish because he didn’t think he could get married without his daughter’s approval, but he was wrong to put Sheila in that position. She deserves the world. “I want this. I want you.”

Sheila tells Deacon he’s making it hard not to say yes. He urges her to accept his proposal. He’ll take care of her and spend the rest of his life making her happy. Sheila can’t live the rest of her life keeping their relationship a secret. Deacon is proud of them and everything they’ve survived against all odds. He knows Hope will come around and the rest of them, “Well, screw them.” He shouts from the rooftop that he loves her and wants her to be his wife. Sheila laughs, “I get it! I believe you.” She accepts his marriage proposal and they kiss. Sheila gushes, “I love you.” Deacon tells her, “I love you too.” They kiss again.

At Forrester, Liam tells Steffy that Sheila’s death frees up some emotional space. She agrees. She and Finn can finally relax and focus on their family and future. She’ll never understand his tie to his mother, but she knows he loves them. Steffy really thinks he’s ready to move on and put his birth mother in the past.

At Deacon’s place, Hope marvels at her father’s detective skills. Finn recaps that if it wasn’t for Deacon, Sheila would still be in that warehouse. Hope muses, “Just wait until everyone finds out.” Finn hopes Steffy will realize that Sheila offered her life to protect her and the kids. “I think she’ll be relieved that she didn’t kill my birth mother.” He has to believe that some day he’ll be able to get through to Steffy, who will be able to support his need to have his mom as a part of their lives. Finn tells Hope that he saves lives for a living. He believes in the power of the body and soul to heal and grow. He believes that for Sheila and thinks it’s time they put the past behind them. “She’s reformed.” Hope thinks the entire situation is pretty incredible. Finn hopes to make Steffy see that and thanks Hope for pulling for him. “I appreciate you… hearing me and not thinking I’m nuts.” Hope could never think that and is glad he’s comfortable to share with her. She tells him she’s available if he needs anyone to call. He tells her she’s the best and pulls her into a hug. “Come here.” Now, he’s headed home to see Steffy. He’s sure it will all work out. Hope says, “For your sake, I hope so.”

Outside, Deacon and Sheila sit at a table and hold hands. She’ll never take this for granted again… the simple pleasures are all she needs. “What a difference a day makes.” Deacon grins, “You’ve got that right, Mrs. Sharpe.” Sheila likes the sound of that. They kiss. Deacon warns her to get ready for a lifetime of moments like this. They go over her being locked up and him not being able to shake the feeling she was out there. “Now, here you are next to me. Engaged to be my wife again.” Sheila teases that he’s engaged to be her husband. He chuckles, “For better or worse.” Sheila really thought she was going to die in that warehouse with no chance to save Steffy and the children from Sugar, but Deacon has always been there for her. Deacon reminds her that her son will stand by her now too. Sheila gushes that she finally has a family. That’s all she’s ever wanted… to be truly loved. “I feel like I don’t have to go through life on my own anymore.” They kiss.

At Forrester, Steffy looks forward to no more of Deacon’s delusions. Her husband won’t put her or the children at risk. She apologizes for rambling and thanks Liam for letting her vent. She says she’s off to see Finn. “Tonight is all about reconnecting.”

Later, Hope is by herself in the board room working when she stops and sighs. “I can’t believe my dad was right. Sheila is alive.” She flashes to warning Finn about Steffy’s reaction and looks concerned. “Hope Steffy doesn’t disappoint you, Finn.”

At the cliff house, Steffy lights a candle and pours wine. She gets a message from Finn that he’s almost home and smiles. Finn comes through the door and Steffy kisses him. She tells him the kids are at Grandma Li’s and it’s just the two of them. He calls her his gorgeous and understanding wife. She offers him wine, but he’s OK for now. “I’m a little fired up.” Steffy notes he seemed really distracted this morning. Finn says he was dealing with something next level, like miraculous. Steffy knows he never sees anyone as a lost cause. She loves how compassionate he is. Finn kisses her. He tells her his whole world has shifted in the most surprising way. Steffy asks, “What happened? Tell me.” Finn has unbelievable news. “And I didn’t believe it at first, and you probably won’t either, but it’s amazing. It’s truly amazing.” Steffy smiles at her husband in anticipation.
