The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria’s Grand Gesture for Claire – Asks Daughter to Adopt Newman Name?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) is still in trouble thanks to Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and all her scheming, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (Cole Howard) will do whatever it takes to save their daughter.
Once Cole and Victoria finally rescue Claire, they’ll have to worry about her mental state in the aftermath.
Claire may deal with some setbacks due to everything she’s been through, but she’ll have plenty of support to get her back on track.
It’s a good sign that Claire called Victoria and tried to let her mom know that she needed help.
That indicates that Claire knew she could rely on Victoria to figure out a way to come to her aid.
After Victoria and Cole indeed come to Claire’s rescue, she’ll recover from her ordeal and hopefully settle back into life with the Newmans.
Y&R fans will recall that Claire was thrilled to get her own room at the tack house and feel like she had a real home at last.
Despite Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) outbursts regarding Claire lately, Claire has received a great deal of support from most of her other relatives.
Just as Victoria and Cole have fully accepted Claire as their daughter, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have fully accepted Claire as their granddaughter.
Of course, there’s one thing that might make Claire feel even more like a true Newman.
At some point, Victoria might pull off a grand gesture and have all the paperwork drawn up for a name change.
Claire was born Eve Howard and raised as Claire Grace, but what will her name be moving forward?
It’s easy to imagine Victoria and even Victor asking her if she’d like to become Claire Newman.
Cole just seems happy to have Claire in his life and should be fine with whatever she decides.
Although Cole would probably be pleased if Claire’s new last name involved his own, he’d understand if she simply wanted to take the Newman name instead.
However, it’s also possible Claire could honor both Victoria and Cole by becoming Claire Newman-Howard.
Regardless, Victoria may work to make sure Claire knows she’s a real Newman who’s worthy of bearing that name and becoming part of their family’s legacy.
