At Deacon’s place, he tells Finn there is someone out there who looks just like Sheila. Deacon insists Finn’s birth mother is alive. Finn says he’s been talking a lot of crazy stuff lately. Deacon fills him in on Sugar, and what Lauren told him about her. He swears he’s telling the truth. Deacon tells him that Sugar had her face surgically altered to look like Sheila and Sugar ended up going to prison for Sheila’s crimes. Deacon says the person who was cremated had Sheila’s face, but ten toes, and Sheila is more of a genius than they ever thought.

Deacon relays the whole ordeal between Sugar and Lauren, and that Sugar was recently released from prison. Deacon believes Sugar did something to Sheila and she’s in real trouble. Deacon shows him a photo of Sugar, but Finn says it could have been edited. Deacon says Laura hated Sheila and has no reason to lie, and he’s certain it was Sugar who was cremated. Finn says this is beyond the realm of reason, and he’s accepted he will never see Sheila again. Now Finn is telling him he could have a second chance with Sheila. Deacon says he is, and they have to go find Sheila right now.

Hope and Steffy sit down at the Cliff House to discuss Shelia’s death. Steffy knows Deacon is having issues, but Finn is finally recovering after everything that monster put them through. She’s grateful that Sheila is no longer a threat. Steffy tells Hope that Deacon needs to accept that Sheila is dead. Hope admits she’s worried about her father. She is hoping they can all move on, but Steffy says they can’t with Deacon insisting Sheila is alive.

Hope thinks her father is processing this in his own way. Steffy just wants Deacon to stay out of her husband’s head. Hope just thinks he needs to get Sheila out of his system and he can get back to his old self. Steffy asks Hope if Finn has said anything to her. Hope says he’s mentioned his complex feelings about Sheila. Steffy wishes he could see her for the monster she was, and she doesn’t want her husband to buy into this fairytale of Deacon’s.

Hope believes her dad is struggling, and he’s entertaining these theories as a way of avoiding the truth. Steffy thinks Deacon needs to wake up and deal with his problems, and stop dragging Finn into his spiraling delusions. Steffy vents that Deacon is making it hard for Finn to let Sheila go, and he needs to stop this nonsense that Sheila is alive.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke and Ridge kiss, and Ridge says he’s missed her. She asks about his trip to Paris, and he says it was a good trip. He signed a deal for distribution, and Thomas and Douglas are doing amazing. He asks what he missed here.

Ridge takes a call, and Brooke thinks about what’s transpired between Luna, RJ and Zende, and RJ insisting his father not know what happened as he wants to protect Luna’s reputation. Ridge gets off the phone and asks how RJ is doing. Another business call interrupts them, and then Brooke steers the conversation towards Thomas and Douglas. Ridge says Douglas misses Hope. Brooke says she’s struggling with his being gone, and with a father who refuses to believe Sheila is dead.

Brooke is worried about Hope. Ridge says with Deacon as a father, who wouldn’t be. Brooke appreciates that Ridge was there for Hope as a father figure. Ridge says Deacon is a strange boy, a felon who hung out with Sheila after everything she did to them. Brooke says Hope wanted a relationship with her dad, and now that Sheila is gone, maybe they can rebuild their bond. That is if Deacon can move on and forget about Sheila.

Ridge tells Brooke he’s planned a romantic dinner for them, and a couples massage, so they can reconnect. Brooke is looking forward to putting everything else behind them. Ridge asks again about Deacon. Brooke says he’s making ridiculous claims that Sheila isn’t dead. Ridge thinks he has to accept it, and Brooke agrees, as this is taking a toll on Hope. Ridge feels Hope and Steffy shouldn’t have to think about Sheila ever again.
