It was all but inevitable from the moment we learned that Lois’ dad, Carmine, was headed back to General Hospital (though played by a new face), but now we’ve got word that mom Gloria is returning as well!
According to Soap Opera Digest, she’ll be back the week of May 13, for Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding, putting their nuptials right in the heart of May Sweeps!
Last time around in November, Ellen Travolta popped up to catch up with on-screen daughter Rena Sofer and served as a class reunion of sorts for Bensonhurst’s fictitious James Buchanan High School. Vernee Watson, who plays General Hospital ’s Stella, co-starred on the 1970s classic sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter, on which Travolta made a few guest appearances. Small world, huh? And, oh yeah, this somewhat famous actor named John Travolta was on that show, too. You may have heard of him.

Veteran actress Travolta (who, yes, is John’s sister) originally played Gloria Cerullo from 1994 until she and hubby Carmine departed Port Charles in 1996.
This will be the first the Cerullo family has been united in nearly 30 years, and the first time General Hospital viewers will get to see Amanda Setton’s Brook Lynn airing with mother, grandmother and grandfather!
Multiple Cerullos are definitely something to be thankful for this spring — though Tracy Quartermaine probably won’t agree.
