At Il Giardino, Deacon puzzles over the astounding story Lauren Fenmore told him. Sugar actually got cosmetic surgery to look like Sheila. He gets online to look up Sugar, aka, Janet Webber, and decides Sheila wasn’t the one getting cremated — he’s not losing his mind. “But are you still alive?”

At the cliff house, Steffy and Finn come in from the beach and she sighs that the water was amazing. They kiss and canoodle. Finn enthuses about getting to be alone out there. He wonders if Steffy has any ideas how they could spend the rest of their morning. Steffy grins. She has some ideas. They kiss passionately.

After moving to the couch to make out, Finn gets a text and they gush over a photo of the kids with Li. Steffy loves their blended family. Finn says, “Speaking of blended families, Hope stopped by yesterday with Kelly’s goggles.” Steffy says, “That’s nice.” Finn says it gave him a chance to let him know her father still thinks Sheila is alive. Steffy thinks Hope should be extremely concerned. Finn thinks it’s the grief. He saw things too at one point. “That’s the only explanation for why he thinks he saw Sheila with ten toes.”

At Forrester, RJ drops his pencil as he flashes to Luna telling him she spent the night with Zende. Brooke comes in and chirps, “Good morning, Sweetheart!” RJ grunts back. Brooke narrows her eyes and asks, “What’s wrong?” RJ doesn’t want to talk about it. Brooke persists. She asks if he and Luna had a disagreement. RJ sighs, “This is more than a disagreement.” Brooke urges him to talk to her; maybe she can help. RJ doesn’t think she can. “I can’t believe I’m saying this. Luna was with another guy.”

In the design office, Luna tears up as she flashes to RJ pulling away from her and saying he needs time. Her mother arrives and pulls her into an embrace. “I’m so sorry!” She feels horrible and asks where things stand between her and RJ. Luna says she broke his heart. He wished she’d let him know sooner and can’t stop picturing her in Zende’s bed. “He needs time.” Poppy protests that she’s innocent in all of this. “Can’t he understand that? Can’t he forgive you?” Luna hopes so. She can tell he still loves her. Poppy says that’s all that matters, but Luna’s not sure it’s that simple. She can’t blame him if he can’t get past what she did. Poppy argues it was an accident. She didn’t betray him on purpose. Luna never should have kept this from him. Poppy says she was trying to protect is relationship with his cousin. She asks Luna not to lose faith in RJ’s love for her.

In the main office, Brooke asks RJ who Luna slept with. He tells her it was Zende. Brooke hyperventilates, “Oh my God! Luna slept with Zende?!” RJ explains that she thought it was him. “She was drugged by her own mother. Poppy’s mints turned out to be more than just mints, Mom.” Brooke finds this all hard to believe. RJ tells her he believes Luna. Brooke exclaims, “How could Zende do this?!” RJ believes he wouldn’t do anything without Luna’s consent. Brooke argues that he knew she was his girlfriend; it’s a terrible betrayal. “When your father finds out…” RJ asks her not to tell anyone. “It would devastate Luna if this got out.” Brooke agrees, but she can’t believe this. She knows RJ is dealing with a lot, “But what about Luna. Think about what she went through. How is she? Is she alright?”

RJ says Luna is blaming herself and thinks she betrayed him and their family. Brooke exclaims, “Are you kidding m?! She is not to blame!” Brooke can only imagine what she felt waking up thinking she was with her boyfriend. This is a traumatic experience. “This is terrible. What happened to her is horrifying, honestly!” She rambles, “What was Zende thinking. How could he do this to you?! He’s your cousin.” With tears in her eyes, Brooke declares this a horrible betrayal on Zende’s part. “I’m sorry, Honey.” She can see RJ still loves Luna. She promises not to tell Ridge and says she’s there for him and Luna, whatever they need. She hopes they can get back to where they were before this terrible night. They embrace.

At the restaurant, Deacon becomes frustrated trying to find more information about Sugar online. He closes the laptop and wonders if Sugar was the one with ten toes. He mutters, “Sheila where the hell are you?” He goes over the text thread in his head and thinks Sheila sounded scared. Would she just leave town without telling him. “Are you still out there, Sheila? Are you in danger?”

At the cliff house, Finn tells Steffy that talking about Sheila is getting him worked up. She’s been his rock and he’s lucky to be married to her. He has an illogical connection to Sheila, but it will never compare to her and the kids. “We’re free. We never have to worry about Sheila again.” They kiss.

At Il Giardino, Deacon finds an online article saying Janet Webber/Sugar was released on good behavior a couple of months ago. “That could have been her that I saw at the crematorium, ten toes and all.” If Sugar’s dead, then where the hell is Sheila?!
