It’s sounds strange to say it, but there could be an upside to Jordan kidnapping Claire and Harrison. Unfortunately, Young & Restless being a soap opera, even if Claire manages to make the best of a bad situation, there will be a nasty twist awaiting her.

Mark this one down in your history books, folks, because it may be one of the first and only times that Victor failed to anticipate his enemy’s every move. Far from thinking ten steps ahead, Victor was instead left mystified when Jordan was a no-show at his and Nikki’s security-fortified 40th anniversary party. It seemingly didn’t even occur to the Mustache that she might realize the shindig was a trap and turn the situation to her advantage.

Jordan, having overheard Nikki and Jack discussing the Newman bash whilst eavesdropping on them in Society, was at least one step ahead. On the big night, still disguised as a man, Jordan laid in wait until an opportunity presented itself to wreak havoc. The party provided the perfect distraction for her to strike in a totally unexpected way elsewhere.

With Nikki and Victor and most of the family occupied, Jordan got her big chance when Claire left the party alone. It was the perfect time to kidnap her and lure the Newmans into another trap of her own. We’re assuming things got complicated, but not insurmountably so, when Claire headed to the Abbott mansion and decided to stay and hang out with Kyle and Harrison.

Somehow, Jordan scored some choloform, snuck into the wealthy family’s home unnoticed, and slipped upstairs where she took Claire unawares in Harrison’s bedroom. Once her niece was dealt with, Jordan turned her shifty attention to the direction the boy had gone. One could see the gears turning as she realized she could get a two-for-one deal by kidnapping the Newmans’ great-grandson as well.

Jordan hit the jackpot, but Claire is the one with a big opportunity now. All she has to do is save herself and Harrison from Jordan and she’ll win the trust of her cousin, Summer, who has been a major holdout unwilling to welcome Claire to the fam.

Claire will have to find a way to escape with Harrison, get word to the Newmans and Abbotts, or even kill her crazy aunt. It’s a tall order, but one we expect her to fill, and one which will not only win her Summer’s gratitude, but prove to the entire family that she’s reformed.

Unfortunately, even if Claire is able to save the day, a nasty twist lies ahead for the beleagured young woman.

Upon her return to the Newman fold, Claire is bound to find out that the mother she has been bonding with doubted her. Young & Restless spoilers tell us that Victoria will question her trust in Claire as this story unfolds, which will not only be intensely hurtful for Claire to discover, but may bring back her insecurities and set their relationship back significantly.
