Days of Our Lives Recap: Tuesday, April 9 – Gil’s Little Black Book Is Key to Ava’s Freedom – Kristen Rages at Holly

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 9, reveals that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) complained about her bland breakfast at the pub, which was part of her special diet ahead of her radioactive iodine treatment.

However, the real reason Paulina was upset was because she’d have to stay in isolation for a few days afterward – and she couldn’t stand the thought of being away from Abe Carver (James Reynolds) that long.

Outside Sweet Bits, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) surprised Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) with the key to the Horton cabin, but she insisted she couldn’t take off work.

Johnny acted like he understood, but then Chanel talked to her employees inside and realized he’d convinced them to cover for her.

Since they loved Chanel and were offered extra pay, Johnny had it all squared away for their mini honeymoon.

After Chanel delivered some bear claws made with non-iodized salt to Paulina and got her approval on the trip, she planned to meet up with Johnny at the DiMera mansion.

In the park on Tuesday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) urged Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) to punch him while kickboxing.

Wendy was hesitant, but Tripp felt like it’d be a good way for Wendy to work through her PTSD and all her emotions.

Wendy wound up getting a little carried away and whacking Tripp too hard, but he laughed it off and raced her home while jogging.

Meanwhile, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) spoke to Clyde Weston (James Read) over the phone and insisted she was no longer taking orders from him.

Clyde warned that he could spill about her involvement in The Bistro’s illegal activities, but Ava acted like it’d be Clyde’s word against Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash).

Clyde didn’t think Ava wanted Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) to find out exactly how he escaped, so he got her attention.

All Clyde needed Ava to do was get back in The Bistro for the little black book that Gil Carter (David S. Lee) left behind.

It was the only trail that could connect Clyde to all his suppliers and dealers.

If Ava retrieved that for him, then Clyde vowed to pack up and relocate his operations.

Ava warned this would be the last thing she ever did for Clyde, so he said “absolutely” and grinned over getting her to cave in.

Once Tripp and Wendy returned home on Tuesday’s Days episode, they confronted Ava over the news about Stefan’s arrest since it was spreading online.

Ava played dumb about Stefan’s reasons for turning himself in and insisted she was embracing her fresh start.

After Ava announced that she was quitting The Bistro, she also told Wendy and Tripp that she would find a new place to live.

Although Tripp and Wendy insisted Ava didn’t have to do that, she felt it was time to move out.

At the hospital later, Tripp said there was something he was required to ask all his female patients, so he asked if there was any chance that Paulina was pregnant.

Paulina got a good laugh over that and made it clear that wasn’t a possibility.

Tripp also explained that Paulina would take a pill for her radioactive iodine treatment in a special room.

Paulina was given a chance to say goodbye to Abe ahead of her isolation, so he ultimately blew one last kiss as he left.

At the DiMera mansion, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) tried to give EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) the cold shoulder, but he acted like her punishment was important to help teach her a lesson.

Holly blasted EJ since he had lied and made mistakes of his own.

Since EJ arrested Tate Black (Leo Howard) and went after him so hard, Holly threw plenty of blame at her stepdad and stomped off.

When Johnny found Holly sulking over being kept apart from Tate, he gave her a pep talk.

Johnny then finished packing for his trip with Chanel and shared a kiss with her in front of Holly as well as Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).

That left Rachel gagging since she didn’t like boys, so she told Holly she was never getting married and had a fun chat with her about some of her favorite things.

Rachel also wanted to paint their nails like they used to, so Holly was happy to do mani-pedis with her.

In the town square on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) confronted EJ after reading about Stefan’s arrest in The Spectator.

After Kristen ranted about being left out of the loop by her brothers, she worried about the company and raged even harder.

EJ acted like Kristen needed to get a grip and eventually walked away, which gave him a chance to get honeymoon updates from Johnny.

Once Chanel and Johnny made it to the cabin, they settled in by the fire and got passionate as a way to warm up even faster.

Back at the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Kristen caught Holly with Rachel and immediately sent Rachel upstairs.

After Kristen warned that she didn’t want Holly around Rachel anymore, she brought up the drugs and acted like Holly was a bad influence.

EJ caught Kristen raging at Holly and stood up for her, so Holly expressed her gratitude after Kristen stormed out.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kristen will cause another round of conflict in the DiMera household soon, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the hostility at home.
