Days of Our Lives’ [Spoiler] Is Poised to Pull a Stefano, Save Stefan and Screw Over EJ at the Same Time

You know what they say about flying too close to the sun. Be careful you don’t melt your wings. That’s pretty much what metaphorically happened to Days of Our Lives’ Stefan the moment he and Gabi got control of DiMera. She went to prison, he ended up under Clyde’s thumb and now, he’s got nothing and no one left.

And now, EJ doesn’t just have control of the family company, he has everything that his brother had and the power of the District Attorney. No offense to him, but he is just ripe for a fall! And we know just the family member to deliver it: his dear sister Megan.

Stefan’s looking for a way out of either prison at Harris and EJ’s hands, death at Clyde’s or banishment to North Korea. But so far, he’s finding no help from his family. But we know from spoilers on Friday that he’s going to do something that shocks EJ. And we can’t think of much more shocking than turning to Megan!

Yes, she wanted him dead, but bygones and all that. And she’s an absolute pro when it comes to getting out of tough spots. She survived death, got off scot free for her Bo, Kate, Marlena and Kayla shenanigans, then managed to pull a Houdini and vanish into the night, somehow handcuffing Gabi to the hospital bed in her place.

If Stefan was smart, he’d figure out something to give her to ask for help. Granted, at the moment he has nothing left to give her in return, but in the DiMera family, there are always bargains to be struck.

And though Megan’s on the run, there’s still ample room to bring her back. After all, as Miranda Wilson pointed out to Soaphub when she spoke with them, “She never killed anyone. The source of the hate fans have had for her is that she was intervening between Bo and Hope. That’s it? Well, you’re hating her for being in love.”

Well, either love or obsession… But we get the point. Technically, a brainwashed Harris did kill people while working for her, but hey, plausible deniability. And yes, Megan’s tried to kill people — but there’s virtually no DiMera who hasn’t at this point, and they’re all running around just fine. Well, Stefano may not be for long without a miracle. But still, our point stands. Attempted murder is no hindrance to the DiMera family.

Surely, Megan and Stefan could figure out a way to destroy EJ’s credibility as the DA and pave the way for her to sweep back into town without consequences and plant herself right back into the family home.

EJ gloated earlier in the week that their dear father Stefano would be disgusted with how badly Stefan screwed things up. So it seems he’d be darn impressed if Stefan and Megan snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and impoverish EJ instead! After all, EJ also pointed out that their father claimed, “Starting over builds character.” And Megan’s return could be just another way to rise from the dead (metaphorically, this time), just as her father did time and time again.

So maybe it’s time for EJ to try out a little character building himself. As to whether it could happen at some point and she would be up for bringing Megan back, Wilson didn’t hesitate.

“Absolutely,” she enthused to Soaphub. “Work is the most important thing to me. If there’s work to do, I’ll do it. I’ll make it happen.”

Well, there’s always work to do in the DiMera family, so maybe it’s time for a comeback in a big way!
