General Hospital’s Jason May Be Saving His Biggest Shock for Carly… and Sam… and Liz

Since General Hospital reactivated Jason Morgan, everybody’s been all, “Where were you all that time? What were you up to?” Finally, the dead man walking gave up some answers — although he left out one important detail of his story. (Read all about that here.) And that may not be the biggest secret that he’s keeping.

The Stage Is Set for Drama

So Jason is being coerced into working for the feds. To what end, exactly? Unclear. But it’s put him in a position where his loved ones are taking sides. Would Jason really work to exterminate Sonny? Could he have possibly been Dante’s shooter? To quote Patrick Swayze in Road House, opinions vary.

Carly is all, “Hell, no!” Sam is all, “Well, maybe.” When at last the whole truth is revealed, Carly will likely think in the back of her mind that she and Jason will just pick up where they left off. There is nothing standing in their way now. Her marriage to Sonny is as kaput as poor Britt. And Drew did Carly a favor by pulling the plug on their rebound relationship.

Only then would the other shoe drop.

The Other Woman

As far as Carly, or Sam, or Liz, or anyone knows, Jason hasn’t been involved with anyone since he “died.” But, um, perhaps he has. Perhaps as he struggled with his “new normal” as a reluctant fed, he became reacquainted with someone in whom he could confide: Hannah Scott.

You remember Hannah, right? She was Roy DiLucca’s daughter, a fed who got involved with Sonny in hopes of busting him but, as all women seem to, fell in love with him instead. Jason’s circumstances being what they were the last couple of years, he and Hannah might have found themselves thrown together on his mission. He might have come to like at least that part of the mission. And he might be reluctant to leave it — and Hannah — behind, even for Carly or one of his other lost loves.

A Big Question Mark

Since Hannah was originally played by Lisa Vultaggio — and she’s quit acting since marrying castmate Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) — General Hospital would need to recast. But we can think of a dozen MVPs who’d be great in the role, from Bold & Beautiful alum Krista Allen (ex-Taylor, above) to Days of Our Lives’ Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe).
