Mac returned to a hero’s welcome, but some mystery surrounds the reason why he left town. Why is he being so hush-hush about it all?

GH Spoilers: Does Mac Scorpio Know He’s Cody Bell’s Father?

GH spoilers suggest that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been struggling to reveal the truth about his paternity to Mac. He knows that Scorpio is his biological father; however, he’s kept it a secret because he lied about it when the DNA test was originally done.

Cody has been encouraged by Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to tell Mac the truth. While Scorpio might be mad at first, he’d eventually come around, and Bell could be wasting precious time getting to know his “real dad”.

They’ve been apart for so many years as it is, so, it’s time to press the button and tell Mac the truth.

But could Mac already know Cody is his son? During his return episode on Wednesday, June 19, Scorpio was happy to see Cody. He even remarked on some similarities the two have, during conversation.

What if Mac’s “secret trip” was about finding concrete proof that Cody is his son? Mac claims he was in South America, but what if that was a “cover-up” story?

Mac’s trip could open another new storyline, and as Scorpio has been off the canvas for so long, many fans would welcome the idea of seeing him take center stage with his own arc.

As someone in law enforcement for most of his life, maybe he’s on a secret case? Then again, as his brother used to be a superspy, perhaps Mac was helping Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) with something.

Mac’s “secret” trip might be brushed under the rug as time goes on. After all, the reason for his hiatus was John J. York’s battle with two types of cancer. Still, what if there’s a bigger story here?
