The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Katie Frames Claire – Wants Big Sister Thrown Out of Family?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) may not be as welcoming to her new sister as Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) might’ve hoped. Victoria has assured Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) that her younger siblings are going to love her, but she may be wrong about that!

Katie and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) will finally come back from boarding school during the week of June 17-21, so they’ll meet Claire and make their first impressions of her.

Johnny will greet Claire and exchange pleasantries, but he may find all this pretty awkward.

Trying to bond with Johnny could end up being pretty uncomfortable for Claire, but Katie’s reaction may be the one she really has to worry about.

Based on the look Katie has on her face in Y&R’s weekly preview video, Claire may have a problem on her hands.

If Katie were going to be excited to meet Claire, she’d probably be grinning from ear to ear and ready to jump into her new sister’s arms.

Instead, the preview clip shows Katie looking uncertain and even a little displeased over the whole situation.

Even if Katie gives Claire a quiet “hey” at Victoria’s urging, Claire may find it tough to charm her.

Y&R has an opportunity for some soapy drama here since Claire craves family acceptance and loves working with children so much.

That’s why it’ll be a double blow if it becomes very clear that Katie doesn’t like Claire at all!

Of course, Claire will make it her mission to win Katie over if that’s the case, but Katie could kick off a mission of her own.

What if Katie decides she wants Claire gone and takes steps to make that happen?

It’s easy to imagine Katie framing Claire for some misdeeds and trying to make it look like she belongs in prison or back in the psych ward!

Katie has always been a smart cookie, so she may have done some off-screen investigating.

No matter what story Victoria tried to spin, Katie may know all about Claire’s troubling past – possibly including all the lake house mayhem.

If so, that’ll give Katie some good reasons to scheme against Claire and want her out of the family.

Katie could frame Claire for some crimes like shoplifting if she requests a shopping outing and plants something in her sister’s purse.

Then again, Katie might make it look like Claire is stealing from the Newmans instead – or even plotting something far worse!

Although Katie could get caught quickly, it’s still worth exploring a frame-up plan here.

Bottom line, having Katie be less than welcoming toward Claire seems like a no-brainer, so let’s hope the writers take advantage of this chance for tension and perhaps a frame-up.
