It was inevitable, right? Now that Bold & Beautiful has not only rebranded Sheila as television’s most remorseless (cough) heroine, babydaddy Jack would have to turn up to tamp down her excitement at getting away with everything from abduction to murder. Ted King seemed to confirm as much on June 14 when he shared an Instagram post from CBS Television City (with an iconic image from The Carol Burnett Show in the background).

“Love being back in this building,” he said, “where icons have roamed the hallways for years!”

King didn’t come out and say that he would be reprising his role of Jack, but it only makes sense. With son Finn continuing to be suckered by Biological Mother(TM) Sheila, Jack would want to swoop in and at least make an attempt at setting his only child’s head straight.

On-screen ex-wife Naomi Matsuda (Li) seemed as excited as Bold & Beautiful fans to think that King might soon be back on the scene. “Love you, Ted!” she cheered.

Mind you, the soap vet, who has appeared on The CityOne Life to Live and General Hospital, could also have been at CBS for an altogether different reason. You’ll recall that only recently, he and Michele Val Jean, new soap The Gates’ headwriter, exchanged tweets that left a whole lotta folks assuming that he had been cast on the eagerly anticipated daytime drama. (See who’s on our list of dream hires for The Gates here.)
