Konstantin and Maggie’s Wedding Goes Utterly Sideways In a Non-Stop Explosion of Revelations, Gun Shots and Death

On Days of Our Lives today, Maggie tells Konstantin to shut his lying mouth while John holds his gun on the con. She lays into him for deceiving her for so long and infuriates Xander by talking about how he had Victoria kidnapped. Konstantin calls them hypocrites — Victor was no saint. But at least he got his revenge by sabotaging Victor’s plane and sending him “to a watery grave.”

Sarah walks in just after wondering what’s going on as Maggie calls Konstantin a liar. She knows he was going to kill her (“WHAT” Sarah gasps) “But I refuse to believe a man that a man as strong and vital as Victor could be taken away by someone as small and insignificant as you.” He just wants to hurt her, but she’s already as hurt as it gets. “I’m the one who opened the door and let you into my house. I laid out the welcome mat to my husband’s killer.”

Konstantin’s dumbfounded “You never had any intention of marrying me!” Nope, she did, until John and Steve finally got through to her. Before John and Steve take him off in handcuffs, Maggie stops them and demands to know about Victor’s final days. “We need to know the truth. We deserve that much.”

Why did it take Konstantin take decades to extract revenge for Catharina. We flash back to 2023 and Kon says he gave Victor a chance for redemption. He and Victor are having dinner together, talking about Bo in his coma. Kon apologizes for the bad dinner, but he’s low on money and had to skimp on ingredients at the restaurant. Victor took Konstantin’s wife and child, which, he says was an accident he regrets “deeply.”

But Konstantin wants more than apologies. “Fine, it’s your lucky day,” Victor says. He’s making a new will, and he’ll leave something to Konstantin. Konstantin pushes him to draft a new will now. Back in the present, he yells, “Only when he was dead would I get a single cent! He forced my hand!”

But he was scammed, because Victor changed the will again before getting on his final flight — then we flash back to Konstantin barging in on Theresa reading the will. In the present again, he just wishes he could have seen Victor’s face as plunged to his death, seeing the ocean come closer, “swirling down and down, spiraling down.” Maggie starts sobbing as he keeps going on. She finally snaps as he tells her Victor loved money more than her, but after yelling at him, she collapses.

As the fellas arrest Konstantin downstairs, Bonnie and Sarah take Maggie up to her room. Sarah tells her she had an adrenaline crash. Maggie just wanted so badly to hear all about the history of Victor she never knew, she overlooked all the red flags. “Maggie, you were his victim,” Bonnie tells her. “I hate that word.” Maggie still feels gullible and stupid, but Bonnie says he only got away with what he did because she always sees the best in everyone.

She gets up to go back downstairs, can barely stand up and sits back down. Justin comes up to tell her John and Steve have everything under control, and Sarah offers to give her mom a sedative. Justin says he called the cops, but there’s been an accident blocking access to that part of town, so police and paramedics can’t get there right now.

Downstairs, Konstantin fakes a coughing attack, then grabs Theresa as his hostage in the confusion. He pulls out a gun and starts shooting as he edges out of the room. Just before leaving, Steve pops up and Konstantin shoots him in his side.

John assures him he’ll be OK as Alex and Brady run after Konstantin — Brady now armed with John’s gun. Xander runs upstairs to get Sarah. “How the hell did I get hit,” Steve growls. John shrugs, you used to be a lot quicker.

Upstairs, Xander shows up to say Steve was grazed, but he’ll be OK. He then says they need Sarah’s help and Maggie realizes it was more than a grazing. “How bad is it??”

Outside, Konstantin drags Theresa away, calling him pure evil. She shot her uncle and she should have never teamed up with him. He claims she set this in motion, but she says he’s been running the show ever since. As they argue with his gun in her back, Alex catches up with them outside the Kiriakis crypt.

Alex mentions how Steve is OK, “Unlike my father,” which prompts mirthless laughter from Konstantin. “You are very much mistaken.” Alex demands to know what he means by that — he confessed to killing Victor. Konstantin teases him a bit, looking between Alex and a horrified Theresa before just being blunt. “Victor isn’t your father,” he sneers.

Back indoors, Steve tells John to catch up with Brady and Alex. Konstantin can’t get away. But John says he’s not abandoning his partner. He belongs right there. “Damn it all, that bullet was meant for me.” He then looks down and sees the Pawn card on the floor and flashes back to Konstantin telling him about Catharina in the park and being activated the first time.

Sarah runs downstairs and starts examining, telling Steve he’ll be fine. She relieves John caring for Steve and he backs up, seeing the card again and recalling Konstantin’s order to shoot Steve.

Theresa, meanwhile, is desperately telling Alex not to listen to him. Before Konstantin can get anything else out, Brady shows up with the gun. Konstaint tells him to drop it “Or young Tate grows up without a mother.”

Upstairs, Maggie thanks Bonnie and Justin for staying with her, but she feels like she lost Victor all over again. She just wanted to do the right thing. She still misses Victor so much. The sedatives take over and she falls asleep, leaving Justin and Bonnie to wonder “What didn’t that crazed man do to try and destroy our family?” Plus, it’s not all out yet. He had an accomplice they have yet to discover.

Bonnie says it must be so difficult for Justin. “It certainly has been disorienting. My whole world has been turned upside down since the day Victor died.” He can’t believe Victor fathered Alex without ever saying anything. “Alex is not my son, and my relationship with him will never be the same.” Bonnie tells him Alex is still his son in every way that counts.

Outside, though, Konstantin pushes the gun against Theresa’s face yelling at Brady to drop his own gun. Brady thinks he has a clean shot, but Alex says not to risk it. But then, just as Brady’s putting the gun down, Xander strides over, snatches it out of his hand and points it straight at Konstantin. “You’ll deal with me now.” His cousins try to convince him not to get Theresa shot but, “I don’t care. This man killed Victor. He tried to kill Maggie. He kidnapped my child and you’re worried about collateral damage.”

Xander demands to know who helped kidnap Victoria, but just as he’s about to talk, Theresa elbows Konstantin in the stomach and tries to get away. He jumps on her, pulls her to the ground and growls that she’s been a pain in his side since he got to Salem. He starts choking the life out of her and we hear a bang. Konstantin goes still and rolls over, as we pan up to see Xander standing with the gun looking down at him in disdain.

Back with Justin and Bonnie watching over Maggie, they’re rehashing all that’s gone on and how Konstantin wanted everyone dead. They’re going to be there for Maggie no matter how much she’s been through. Bonnie offers to set Maggie up with her dentist, but Justin gently convinces her now’s not the time. They then get on to how crazy that card/Pawn/brainwashing stuff was. “It was so scifi!” Bonnie exclaims. Luckily, Marlena fixed it.

They wonder why they haven’t heard anything and slip downstairs to see what’s going on, leaving Maggie to open her eyes and think back painfully on how Konstantin wormed his way into her life.

Outside, Brady checks Kon’s pulse as Theresa runs over to Alex. He’s still alive, barely. Konstantin whispers, “You think this is over. But you’re all stupid. There is still an enemy in your midst.” He falls quiet and dies.

“An enemy?” Xander wonders, “Who’s he talking about?”

Inside, Sarah’s asking for John’s help, but he’s staring at the card. “John? What are you doing?” Sarah asks, only for her and Steve to see John smirk and look over at them eerily.
