Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Clyde Weston (James Read) has menaced Salem for many years now, but perhaps the most heinous of his many crimes was the murder of Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller). Abby was a loving wife and mother and according to Clyde, she wasn’t even the intended target.
Instead, he claimed he was targeting Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Abby just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But according to recent information, there may be much more to the story.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Abigail DiMera Was Investigating Clyde Weston
Abigail was also an investigative reporter for The Spectator, the newspaper owned by her parents at the time. Recently, Nicole Walker (Ariana Zucker) found a notebook that had notes written by Abigail. Nicole gave the notebook to Abby’s husband, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
Chad was shocked by the information Abigail provided in the notebook. Apparently, she had been investigating Clyde and his drug trafficking organization right before she died. That changes everything Chad though he knew about the night Abigail was killed.

Clyde seemingly lied about his motive for killing Abigail. He wasn’t after Belle after all, he was at the DiMera mansion to kill Abigail.
Chad hasn’t really ever felt closure or been able to move on since Abigail’s death. He tried to move on with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) but he just wasn’t ready.
To make matters worse, Clyde has escaped prison, Chad refrained from killing Clyde when he first discovered he killed Abigail.
Armed with the new knowledge of Clyde’s motives, Chad is ready to get justice for his wife. Look for him to track Clyde down and aim a gun right on Clyde.

Clyde will like say anything to save his own life, but Chad would never expect to hear the next words that will come out of Clyde’s mouth. Clyde will blurt out that Abigail is actually alive! How is this possible?
While it could be the work of Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) miracle drug, perhaps something entirely different is going on.
What if Abigail’s death was faked and she was put into witness protection because of her discoveries about Clyde’s drug network? But would Abigail leave her whole family for any reason? Time will tell?
