Days of Our Lives Wednesday, June 5 Recap: Clyde Confesses Abby Twist – EJ & Melinda’s Deal – Stefan’s Cheating Guilt

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 5, reveals that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) reluctantly put her gun down after facing Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) pressure to let him handle this. Harris pushed Ava to go back to the motel, so she told Clyde Weston (James Read) that she’d see him in hell and stomped off.

Moments after Harris put handcuffs on Clyde, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) arrived and picked up the gun that Ava left behind.

This was Chad’s opportunity to force some answers out of Clyde, so he pushed him to admit Abigail’s demise was premeditated and that he targeted her because she was closing in on his drug operation.

Clyde acted like it didn’t matter since Abigail was deceased no matter what, but he eventually argued that both Chad and his wife both got what they deserved.

After Chad got riled up and threatened to pull the trigger, he wondered if Clyde was scared now and asked how Clyde thought Abby felt.

Clyde ultimately said he wouldn’t know since he didn’t kill Abigail. Chad looked baffled as Clyde insisted Abigail was alive!

Once Ava made it back to the motel on Wednesday’s Days episode, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) told her that the feds dragged Rebecca Goldman (Christy St. John) out of there kicking and screaming.

Ava explained that Harris wasn’t happy about her plan to handle Clyde herself and worried how many secrets he’d be willing to forgive, but Lucas gave her a pep talk and mentioned Chad’s plan to question Clyde as well.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) fumed over Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) getting away and talked about how satisfying it had been to rip into her.

That said, Nicole knew Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) feelings for Sloan were more complicated.

Eric struggled to believe that what he shared with Sloan was real and guessed that none of it was.

Eric vowed to get Jude Brady’s (Oliver McLarty) birth certificate so that Nicole could change his name, but she admitted they might not change it since she liked Jude and he was used to it.

Eric confessed he’d like if Nicole kept the name, especially since she was the reason he chose it.

Jude was named after Saint Jude, the patron saint of lost causes, so Eric related that to Nicole and her struggles.

Although Nicole invited Eric to spend as much time with Jude as he wanted, he admitted it would be too painful for him and difficult for Jude as well.

After Nicole gave Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) updates on Sloan supposedly whacking EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) in the head with a flowerpot and bolting, Rafe made a call to intensify the search efforts for the fugitive.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ confronted Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) in her office.

Now that Sloan was gone for good, EJ insisted Melinda was the only other person who knew the truth about Jude’s paternity.

Once EJ warned Melinda not to play dumb and lashed out over her deception, she acted like he was a hypocrite.

Melinda may have kept Nicole’s baby from her, but EJ was keeping Eric’s child from him now.

EJ argued that the baby was a DiMera as far as he was concerned and that he’d want for nothing.

As long as Melinda kept her mouth shut, EJ assured her that he’d do the same and hoped they understood each other.

Melinda pointed out that if she needed a favor in the future, she wanted to be able to come to EJ.

After EJ assured Melinda that he’d oblige, he was glad they were on the same page.

Once EJ returned home on Wednesday’s DOOL show, he hinted about enjoying some family time with Nicole and their son, so Eric took off.

Back with Rafe, he met with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) in the town square and told him about Melinda blackmailing him over the black book she’d hid for safekeeping.

Rafe wanted to find other evidence of Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (last played by Camila Banus) innocence and was hopeful since Clyde’s whole drug ring was in the process of getting busted.

If there was a chance for Clyde to save himself by offering any Gil Carter (David S. Lee) news, Rafe made a prediction about him taking advantage of it.

Rafe knew the separation had been tough on Stefan, but he praised him for his loyalty to Gabi and left Stefan feeling guilty as he flashed back to cheating with Ava.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi will inevitably unleash her wrath over that betrayal down the road, so stay tuned.
