The Young and the Restless Wednesday, June 5 Recap: Lily Hides Billy’s Secret, Chelsea Sounds Alarm Over Risky Ally

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 5, reveals that Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) will return from Detroit and find Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) sitting with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at the GCAC. Although Mamie will want Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to be part of this meeting, she’ll eventually move forward without her.

Mamie will act like she’s had a change of heart and intends to be more hands-off at Chancellor Winters, but Nate and Devon will be skeptical.

If Mamie is serious about her new stance, Devon will urge her to let them buy her out of the company.

Mamie will balk at giving her up her stake since she worked hard for it and will bring up the latest Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) situation since it’s troubling.

When Nate speaks with Mamie alone, he’ll see that she’s still got a Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) vendetta driving things underneath this push for family unity.

At the office, Lily will snap at Billy until he admits Jill is sick and that’s the real reason she handed over the reins to him.

Once Lily expresses her worries, she’ll ask questions about Jill’s cardiac issues and her prognosis.

Billy won’t know for sure how serious this is since Jill’s playing it cool, but he’ll feel a sense of urgency when it comes to adding Abbott to the company name.

Once Billy revisits that suggestion, he’ll push Lily to help him sell Devon on the idea and present it to the board.

Billy will also want Lily to keep quiet about Jill’s illness, but she won’t see how she can convince Devon if she can’t share all the facts – that is if she goes along with the plan.

Since Billy will at least want a chance to give Jill a heads-up on him spreading her news, Lily will insist he can count on her discretion.

Devon will overhear that part and grow curious when he walks in, but Lily will act like she can handle Billy after he exits.

As for Mamie’s new claims, Devon will admit he doesn’t believe she’s really going to let them make all the decisions.

After Devon confesses that Mamie refused to be bought out, he’ll have concerns about the plan to undo the merger with Mamie back in the picture.

Once Nate returns, he’ll share more concerns of his own since Mamie is fired up underneath all this talk about staying in her lane.

At home on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be frustrated when he walks in with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

It turns out Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) OCD told him he didn’t deserve to be happy, so he punched himself in the face and had to cancel the visit with his parents.

Adam won’t know how to keep pretending everything is OK and will toss the gift Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) passed along for Connor in the trash.

Chelsea will fish it out and get emotional as she tries to remind Adam of the importance of staying strong.

When Sally shows up with a box for moving day, she’ll seem taken aback to find Chelsea and Adam in a warm embrace.

Chelsea will congratulate Sally on moving in and vow to get back to her on answering any Marchetti questions soon.

Once Sally is alone with Adam, she’ll assure him that it’s good to let his anger out and will invite him to throw that gift away if it’ll make him feel better.

Adam won’t know how he’d get through any of this without Sally, so she’ll make a prediction that he won’t have to.

After Chelsea gives Billy updates on the latest Connor problems, she’ll also find out about Jill’s illness.

When Billy admits he already told Lily since he needs her as an ally, Chelsea won’t think it’s wise to trust her.

Furthermore, Chelsea will wonder if Jill even wants this company name change and will urge Billy not to waste valuable time with his mom on a company battle.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will have a lot to consider as this storyline moves along, so stay tuned!
