Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Ron Carlivati’s Content Officially Returns To Soap, Head Writers Preview Major Storylines Ahead

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest that the soap’s head writer, Ron Carlivati has been waiting a long time for Friday, May 31 to roll around.

As the show’s filming schedule is months in advance air, this “day” marks the return of his writing content for the daytime drama, after the writer’s strike ended. Yes, he went back to work in October; however, fans now finally get to see the fruits of his labor!

DOOL Spoilers: Ron Carlivati Clears Things Up

Carlivati recently spoke with TV Insider, taking the time to clear up some misconceptions and provide a preview of what fans can look forward to, now that he’s heading the writing on DOOL, once again.

He notes that no guide was left behind for the writers who stepped in during the strike, and the temp team tried their best to stretch stories out, waiting for Ron to return.

They believed the strike was a temporary thing; however, it ended up lasting 148 days! As such, some decisions had to be made. Carlivati was clear to note that he had “nothing to do” with stories between “January and May” of this year.

While he didn’t write the big baby-swap reveal, he did have a lot to do with the face-off between Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) and Sloan Petersen-Brady) on Friday’s episode.

He notes that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will also eventually learn he’s Jude’s (Oliver McLarty) biological father, so fans need to stay tuned to see how that all unfolds.

DOOL Spoilers: More Fun Moments To Come

Carvaliti also tells TV Insider that viewers need to gear up for the big reveal around Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) being Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) son, not Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), as well as the big wedding blow-up between Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).

Lastly, Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) will eventually get out of prison in the weeks ahead, and Ron warns of chaos in Salem once Gabi is free from her prison cell.

Lastly, Carlivati also penned DOOL’s 15,000th episode milestone, which will center on Doug Williams’s death, played by the late Bill Hayes.

This will air in November, and fans will get to see a number of past character returns, including, Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring), Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), and Hope Williams-Brady (Kristian Alfonso) – just to name a few.
