But you have to wonder if he has a hidden agenda in mind with this odd move on Bold and the Beautiful, rolling out this week. This promotion comes on the heels of a heated confrontation over Steffy pulling the plug on Hope Logan‘s (Annika Noelle) design line.

This comes up as Brooke sees Steffy pull rank as co-CEO. But The Bold and the Beautiful preview has Ridge Forrester come up with an idea. He asks Brooke if she’ll help him guide the company into the future.

This would put Brooke Logan on equal ground with Ridge and Steffy as a third co-CEO. Still, this move likely sends Steffy Forrester into a whirlwind of anger.

But, making Brooke a co-CEO could have a hidden agenda for Ridge Forrester. He may hope to open Brooke Logan’s eyes. At the same time, he could clip his daughter’s wings a little, after pushing her power around.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Pushes Brooke & Steffy Together for a Reason?

Ridge is put in an awkward position between Brooke and Steffy. But he could see that each of them present a legitimate gripe. Steffy does seem to harbor personal reasons for ousting HFTF.

At the same time, as c0-CEO, she’s obligated to make sure the company runs at a profit. But HFTF took a nose dive after Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) left. And, Steffy Forrester said last week on Bold and the Beautiful that the numbers are even worse than what they projected.

So, this sudden promotion for Brooke would put her in the same position as Steffy. In this case, it’s watching HFTF eat up money while circling the drain. So, instead of arguing the point with the two most important women in his life, this is one way to put it back on them.

As co-CEOs, Brooke and Steffy will need to make the responsible move. So, Steffy Forrester may feel like Ridge shoves Brooke down her throat. After all, there’s no love lost between the two.

But maybe it’s his way of pushing the Logan matriarch to see things from the business point of view, like Steffy Forrester. Plus, it could put a damper on his daughter’s power trip. So, this week on the CBS soap, Ridge Forrester’s move may also be self-serving by keeping himself out of the battle.
